I had to take a 3 hour trip al the way to the south of Holland for the Jera on Air Festival. This is a rock festival and me and Barry Kohne had to do show at the Monster Energy boot! The place was small but we still rocked!
Last weekend we took a long trip to give clinics, but it was definitely worth it! We did clinics all day at a small festival called ArtXtra in Stadskanaal. Afterwards the kids gave a show to the public, demonstrating their newly learned tricks. At the end of the day all the kids were happy because they learned some cool tricks on a BMX!
Derek the instructor.
This was a real special day for me! I was invited by theatregroup ISH to do a show in the Dutch Palace in front of the Royal crew! Changed history that day with "The first BMX in the palace".
I already performed for the Queen in 2008 but this performance was different. We were treated like real celebrities and had the nicest dressing room ever!
So why all this!? The show was for the "Appeltjes van Oranje" awards. These are special awards for organizations that gave back to the community. The theatregroup ISH gives young people that quit school at young age or have other problems a chance to become professional. The royal crew was really amazed of our show!
Afterwards we had a meet and greet with the Queen of Holland "Queen Beatrix" who was really spontaneous and impressed by our skills!
LostBmx organized the flatland contest at the "Last battle of the year". Although the contest was last winter, here's a compilation and full video of it! Enjoy!
After having some rest it was time to get serious again. So we shot a trailer video, filmed by Kasper de Bont productions!
We found a nice spot nearby Derek's home in Ijmuiden.
The whole neightbourhood was watching.
Even the police! They stood there for like 40minutes. Hard day at work hea:p
