Last Thursday it was show time again. Me, Erik and Michael tool a 3 hour trip to Rucphen. For Erik it took even longer since he missed the bus and since only a bus came ones in an hour he had to wait a long time on the train station. In Rucphen they where going to build a bunch of new houses and LostBmx was there to make the boring happing a bit more spectacular! The major was also there to experience the event so that sure was cool! Everything went really good and all though the crowed was hard to let them self go they sure enjoyed it since they where all talking about it! And then we had to prepare for another 3 hour trip. At least we didn't mis the bus.
My birthday was on the 29th of December. I turned 21, that sounds really old! So to celebrate it good we dropped down a session at our indoor spot! Around 20 riders showed up! Thats the most dutcht riders together i think since the last Flatground maybe more! Most of the riders where beginners so i looking out to a bright 2010 for our scene. So watch out, new talent is coming! It turned out to be a great day! Everybody was hungry to ride, so the timing couldn't have been any better. We closed down 2009 with a great session!
Sam was so kind to give me a nice present.
New Kids on the Block. Keep on riding guys!
Omar made a nice video report from the jam. Not much hardcore riding but a good impression of what was going down!
Last Sunday we had a show again. This time with the whole LostBmx crew. Bodean was on the mic the rest of us were rocking the show. The show took place in one of Amsterdams biggest club "de Melkweg". Its the same club from the Flatground 2006 after party.
The party was held in staid of Battle Mania which was supposed to be held that day. It was the first time the organization held an party so the audience was a little bit low. Around 11 o'clock it was time to rock the house. Some baggin electro beats and MC B-red on the mic everyone enjoyed the show!
There was also an "extreme sport rider of the year award" which was won by dutch park BMX rider Channon Balorain. And a "miss Planet Contra" election which was won by a female park BMX rider Shanice Silva Cruz. So BMX was definitely on the map this evening.
